Social Activity TV Chart: October 9, 2013
AMERICAN HORROR STORY may have only been the third most watched cable program of Wednesday evening, but it was the most socially active program for all TV programs Wednesday.
The third season opener collected over 670,000 social posts about the new episode. That is about five taimes as many as the number two cable program, Game five of the last NLDS on TBS. Top rated DUCK DYNASTY could only muster 88k, for a third place finish.
On the broadcast chart, THE X FACTOR is king, drawing 367,000 active posts. It was the only broadcast program to have activity of over 100,000 messages. Number two program JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, with Kayne West, drew over 92,000 social posts. This was the first time the two have met since their recent social media/Twitter fight.
