Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 24, 2013
THE BIG BANG THEORY was the only regular series of the night to do bigger numbers that game 2 of the World Series. The hit sitcom collected 17 million viewers and a 5.2 in Adults 18-49. While staying even in the young demographic rating, it was down about 800,000 viewers from the previous week.
Despite how well, BIG BANG did, the new sitcoms did suffer against the baseball game. THE MILLERS dropped a 1/2 a ratings point in the demo ratings. THE CRAZY ONES dropped 1.7 million viewers. TWO AND A HALF MEN and ELEMENTARY had slight increase over last week.
Game two of the World Series did drop a million viewers from the previous night, along with 17% of the demographic ratings. The game was still strong enough to win the night for FOX and with St. Louis knotting the series at one game a piece, a fifth game is now guaranteed for Monday night, weather permitting.
SCANDAL had an unexpected drop in the ratings. For the first time of the season, it lost viewers from its GREY'S ANATOMY lead in and dropped 12% in the A18-49 ratings, compared to last week. Hopefully it is just viewers switching to the game on FOX, but we shall come November.
