Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 19, 2013

FOX coverage of game #6 of the American League Championship Series lead to an easy ratings victory on Saturday night. The deciding game that propelled the Red Sox to the World Series drew just over 9 million viewers and a solid 2.3 rating in Adults 18-49. FOX end the series on a high note as this year's LCS topped the ratings from last year's coverage. The game was also a number one draw for most young male demographics. World Series coverage begins tonight, October 23, on FOX.

ABC won the battle of college football games as it's Florida State/Clemson game easily topped the NBC coverage of Notre Dame/USC game. The ABC game drew over two million more viewers and more than doubled NBC in the A18-49 ratings. The contract runs through the 2025 season, so, unfortunately NBC will be stuck with more low rated games, which are no better than reruns on the night, for the next 12 years.

CBS was pretty much out of the loop with its encore programming, but 48 HOURS did match NBC in the A18-49 ratings and collected more viewers in the 10 p.m. hour.
