Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 12, 2013

FOX wins Saturday night, thanks to game one of the ALCS. The series opener, featuring the Detroit Tigers and the Boston Red Sox, drew 6.8 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49. it is the best show for FOX on the night since the 2013-14 season began. It is also a 20% increase over 2011's ALCS game one and slightly above last year's NLCS on FOX.

ABC took a break from college football for NASCAR coverage and it is the first time the network did not win Saturday night since the beginning of the college football season. The race brought in 5.6 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating. Down a bit from the usual mid to upper one demo rating NASCAR usually gets on a Saturday night race.
