Primetime Cable Ratings: October 17, 2013

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL may have been the most watched cable program on Thursday night, but it was way down from last week's game. Drawing just 6.1 million viewers and a 2.3 rating in Adults 18-49, TNF was down more than 1.7 million viewers (-23%) and 26% in the A18-49 ratings. This week's game featured the 5-1 Seahawks vs the 3-2 Cardinals, so not a bad match-up. This my heat up the rumor that the NFL is looking at adding a second game on the night to another network/carrier. The two companies that come up in the rumor is either Netflix or Google. Both could afford the package and landing a hot property like the NFL would be a boost to streaming TV.

The remainder of the night was filled with the usual suspects. PAWN STARS grabs spots #2 and #3 and the two episodes average near 3.3 million viewers. WHITE COLLAR placed 7th with 2.5 million viewers and THE BIG BANG THEORY is back with two episodes, also near 2.5 million viewers apiece.
