Ratings: Broadcast Finals for September 19, 2013
It has been a quiet summer for WIPEOUT and the season finale was not much different. The final episode of 2013 drew just 3.4 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. That was up 0.4 million viewers and was flat in the demo ratings, from last week. I do not think it is a guarantee for WIPEOUT to get another season, but I do believe we will see a 7th season.
Also calling it a season was the game show MILLION SECOND QUIZ. The 10th and final episode collected 5.4 million viewers and a 1.4 demo rating, beating WIPEOUT head-to-head. Compared to last week, the show was actually up about 700,000 viewers and one tenth of a ratings point in the A18-49 ratings. This marks the only time MSQ showed a weekly increase.
Following MSQ was the Meredith Viera Special VALERIE'S STORY. The one hour program dropped 23% of its lead in audience and 38% of the A18-49 ratings.
Closing out the original programming of the night was THE X FACTOR. In its second Thursday night, it recorded 6.4 million viewers and a 1.9 demo ratings. This is down week-to-week by 7% in viewership and 14% in the demo. It will be fun/interesting to see how far this show falls next week once the other networks are in full swing with their original fall programming.
