Ratings: Primetime Cable Programs: August 14, 2013
DUCK DYNASTY not only dominated the TV landscape on Wednesday night, it broke records doing so. The series took the top three spots on the cable chart, plus a total of five episodes in the top 10.The much anticipated season premiere of America's favorite family drew 11.8 million viewers and a huge 5.0 rating in Adults 18-49. This is a record performance by a nonfiction series on Cable TV. DUCK DYNASTY not only beat everything on cable, but it beat everything on broadcast TV too. The God fearing Robertsons will be giving THE WALKING DEAD a run for its money as the #1 cable program of the year.
Although to a lesser degree, THE BIG BANG THEORY had a good night also. Four episodes entered the top ten, led by the 9:30 p.m. episode with 3.4 million viewers.
The only other show on the chart is USA's ROYAL PAINS. Last wek's #1 show dropped 5 spots and 400,000 viewers, with the return of DUCK DYNASTY.
