At 9 p.m. MOMENT OF IMPACT! grew from its lead in and grabbed 19.7 million viewers and ranked #11. That 19.7 million viewer mark was just 400k less than CBS' Olympic coverage on the night.

ABC did take advantage of the low ratings of the closing ceremonies, as it aired OPRAH WINFREY PRESENTS: THE WEDDING, Part 1. The TV movie starred Halle Berry and drew 24.4 million viewers. It was the top program of the night and ranked #3 for the week.
