The high wire act of Nik Wallenda was the event of the day, on Sunday. The stunt of crossing the Little Colorado River Gorge, at 14,000 above the surface... with out a harness or net, drew a strong 1.22 million messages within the social media. One account stated that 700,000 were on twitter alone. Preliminary ratings have the event sustaining 10 million viewers over the entire broadcast, with 13 million at the peak as he is crossing from one side to the other.

After than the high wire act, soccer was the only other program of large interest. Univision topped the broadcast chart with its coverage of the Confederate Cup, with just over 400,000 social media posts. ESPN grabbed 670,000+ with its two matches on two networks.
