Ratings: Broadcast Finals for June 8, 2013

Three of the four networks gave us original sports programing on Saturday night, but CBS, with all repeats, was still the most watched network of the night.

Starting from the bottom to the top, ABC barely managed to pull in any viewers for the night race in Texas. Just 1.4 million viewers tuned in to see one of the more exciting races on the IndyCar circuit. The demo ratings are just as bad with a 0.3, falling into CW territory.

FOX and Baseball Night in America drew 3,2 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating for its regional games. It is flat with MLB coverage last week.

The NHL Playoff game on NBC was the top sports draw, getting 3.3 million viewers and a respectable 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49. It is on par with recent Saturday night games on NBC. The NHL Stanley Cup series begins June 12, on NBC. The network will carry five of the championship series games, while NBC Sports Network covers games #2 and #3.

CBS may have been in all repeats, but it was the most watched network. The 10 p.m. encore episode of 48 HOURS was the most watched program, with 6.3 million viewers, and the highest rated program in Adults 18-49, with a 1.2 rating.
