Complete Nielsen Ratings: Week of June 3, 2013
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #88:
It was a complete sweep of the major ratings categories for ABC, mainly lead by two games of the NBA finals.
ABC claimed the top two programs of the week in both total viewers and in the A18-49 demographic ratings. Between the two games, on Thursday and Sunday, ABC averaged 14.4 million viewers and a 5.8 demo rating. The two games represented roughly 27% of the network's schedule for the week.
Beyond the top two programs, its was slim pickings for ABC. Just three more programs made the top 30 chart, with THE BACHELORETTE posting the highest rank at #19, 5.69 million viewers.
NBC is using its one-two punch of THE VOICE and AMERICA'S GOT TALENT to take spots three through five. Both episodes of THE VOICE and the AGT each drew total viewership over 10.8 million and a demo rating of 3.1 or better. The two series filled 41% of this week's NBC schedule.
CBS, still mainly airing repeats, did well in total viewership, as it was just edged out by ABC. It placed nine programs in the top 15 and added another six for the top 30 chart. However, it only had one program (THE BIG BANG THEORY) which posted a demo rating over XX.
This summer, FOX is a network that is almost total black and white. Tuesday through Thursday, it posts original summer series that collect high ratings in Adults 18-49. But Monday, Friday and Saturday drag the average way down, as nothing can generate a demo rating of a 1.0 or better.
I will include the ION network ratings to the summer chart to give insight to the battle between it and The CW. This week, ION nearly doubled The CW in viewership and household ratings. ION also topped the CW in the A18-49 ratings.
