TV News Roundup: Week of May 13, 2013

It was a busy week as the five broadcast networks gave their 2013-14 season upfronts to advertisers, media and the american public.

MONDAY:

• NBC delivers its 2013-14 line up:
  NBC added six new series to the fall schedule and a total of 17 new series will debut next season (link).
• FOX announces that Jack Is Back:
  The series 24 will be back as a 12 episode "Event Series," starting in May 2014.
• New title of for ABC series:
  Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition is now called EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS.

TUESDAY:

• FOX presents its 2013-14 line up:
  FOX added six new series to the fall schedule, including a third hour of comedies for Fridays (link).
• ABC releases its 2013-14 schedule:
  The network will debut eight new series in the fall of 2013, most by any network (link).

WEDNESDAY:

• CBS shows us their 2013-14 line up:
  CBS adds five shows, including a 4th hour of comedy, on Thursday night (link)

THURSDAY:

• The CW 2013 Fall line up:
  The 5th network adds three new dramas to the fall line up (link)

FRIDAY:

• THE OFFICE ends on a high note:
  The nine year old series ends with its best ratings in 16 months.
• WAREHOUSE 13 to end in 2014:
  The SyFy series will get a final 5th season of 6 episodes to end the series.
• THE VOICE coaches next season:
  Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton for the fall. Levine and Shelton with Shakira and Usher for the spring edition.
