Social TV Activity Chart for May 22, 2013
TNT's presentation of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals drew over one million social messages on Wednesday night. The close game, featuring the Pacers vs Heat, went into OT and lasted to nearly midnight, ET. This game drew about nine times more social messages than the previous night's Western Conference game on ESPN. The difference may just be in the teams playing.
On the broadcast side, the CRIMINAL MINDS two-hour finale drew over 115,000 messages. The key to this week's surge, beside being a season ender, may have been the STAR WARS fanboy action with Mark Hamill playing the villain of the season long Replicator storyline. I must say, he does play a good bad guy.
Trendrr.TV tracks all major networks and shows in real-time. Total activity is determined by Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue, and Viggle, and activity. On air activity reflects the window three hours before and after a show airs and daily activity reflects a twenty four hour period from 6am to 6am.
