Ratings Review: HAPPY ENDINGS (Season Three)

HAPPY ENDINGS is a series that should have never been renewed after the initial season, let alone after a second season. The ratings were never strong, despite having MODERN FAMILY as its lead in for all of season #2.

The series was doomed once it was decided to launch a Tuesday night comedy block with HAPPY ENDINGS and APT #23. Both series tanked in the ratings was were pulled of the schedule for at least two months. But unlike APT. #23, HAPPY ENDINGS did get all of its episodes out for the few viewers to see.

The move Fridays proved to be nothing more than burn-off, with the doubling up of episodes. Only once did it score over 3 million viewers and a 1.0 demo rating. Way below what LAST MAN STANDING and MALIBU COUNTRY would pull on an average night.
