Ratings: Broadcast Finals for May 30, 2013
CBS dominates in total viewership, but FOX edges out to grab the A18-49 win.
CBS, with 2.5 hours of encore programming, draws the most viewers, averaging 7 million viewers for the night. A special airing of the displaced MIKE & MOLLY season finale held 85% of its lead in from THE BIG BANG THEORY. Even ELEMENTARY saw a bump up in the ratings, including a 22% rise in the demo.
Week two of ABC's all original Thursdays remained even from last weeks debut. Only MOTIVE saw a tenth of a point drop in the A18-49 ratings.
FOX saw the network average go down as the new show DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO GO? drops 15% in total viewers and 23% in the demo ratings. I think the answer to the title of the show should be "Yes, YOU must go." Expect a cancellation very soon.
It is a little depressing to write about NBC. Almost no one cares to watch their show the first time, so you know it only get worse with repeats and bur-off. But, I am still scratching my head why the network renewed HANNIBAL when it can't even draw 2.5 million viewers.
