Ratings: Broadcast Finals for May 15, 2013

FOX wins the night with a one hour edition of AMERICAN IDOL and a special edition of the summer reality series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

IDOL Was up, slightly, week-to-week, drawing over 12 million viewers and a 3.0 demo rating. This is a good sign for the finale two episodes.

Following IDOL was an episode of SYTYCD. It collected 7 million viewers and a 2.3 demo rating, up 2 million viewers and 21% in the demo, from Tuesday's season premiere. Like IDOL, SYTYCD is not the show it once was, but it is relatively strong when compered to other summer originals.

MODERN FAMILY posted the nights top demo rating with a 3.7 mark. Despite a poor lead in, the series did improve upon THE FAMILY TOOLS by 171% in viewers and more than tripled its demo ratings. We'll see if next seasons new comedies can do any better within the comedy block.
