Ratings Review: SOUTHLAND (Season Five)

Completing its fifth season, fourth on TNT, southland is one of those rare shows that defy the odds and continues to survive.

Season five of SOUTHLAND started out slow for the veteran police drama. The firs three episodes hovered around 1.2 million viewers, but as the series entered March, the number of viewers increased to 25% to 40% over the next few weeks. It closed the season strong as the last three episode grew in audience size from the previous week. the 1.8 million viewers that tuned in for the season finale marked an increase of 67% in viewership.

Season five was just 10 episodes long, bringing the grand total of episodes to 43. It is not yet know if SOUTHLAND will see a sixth season. TNT has cancelled series with better ratings, buit as before, I would bet with SOUTHLAND surviving once again.
