Ratings: Broadcast Finals for April 26, 2013
The first Friday of the May 2013 sweeps saw ABC and CBS tie in the A18-49 ratings, but CBS dominate in the total viewer averages.
CBS had the three most watched programs of the night with their line up. All three pulled in over seven million viewers, topped by BLUE BLOODS with 10.5 million. CBS also had the #2 (Undercover Boss) and #3 (Blue Bloods) porgrams in the A18-49 ratings. Freshman series VEGAS was off pace for the network, pulling in just a 1.0 rating, placing 6th for the night.
ABC's share of the demo ratings was completely on the strength of SHARK TANK. The reality series continues to pull in strong demo rating, collecting a 2.0 rating. It is the second strait original episode to pull in a 2.0, or better, in the valued demographic. With this success, you have to believe that ABC will move SHARK TANK to a more valuable slot next season.
GRIMM posted a below average rating on the series last Friday night airing. From its last original, on April 5th, it was down 13% in the demo ratings and 5% in viewership. It move to Tuesday nights, starting tonight, April 30, 2013. Anything less than it's Friday average would have to be considered a disappointment for NBC.
