Ratings: Broadcast Finals for April 5, 2013
Friday was a night of split leadership, with CBS wining in total viewers, while ABC dominated the A18-49 ratings.
ABC's demo win came on the strong performance of the reality program, SHARK TANK, pulling in 7 million viewers and a 2.1 rating in Adults 18-49. This is the strongest demo rating the series has pulled in this season, since the November sweeps. This performance helped 20/20 bring in a 1.8 demo rating to win the 10 p.m. hour.
Earlier for ABC, HAPPY ENDINGS drew under 3 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating over the course of two episodes in the 8 p.m. hour. It was slight better than the previous week's ratings, but still way below the average for the time slot, this season. ABC will be rid of this series come May, but, for some unknown reason, USA appears to want this property.
After having a month off, VEGAS reappeared on the CBS schedule, in its new Friday night time slot. Collecting 7.7 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, it was way below the ratings CSI: NY pulled in over this season. Below the series premiere of MADE IN JERSEY and under GOLDEN BOY's demo rating for its one episode airing in the time slot. This all but wraps up the fate of VEGAS, which will not get a renewal this May.
Lucky for CBS, the poor lead in of vegas to BLUE BLOODS didn't hurt the rating of the Tom Selleck drama. It was the night's most watched program, with 11 million viewers. It also tied for third over all in the A18-49 ratings, with a 1.5 average.
