Top 15 Scripted Cable Programs for Week of 02/25/13

THE BIBLE became the year's most watched cable program as the first two of ten hours generated over 13 million viewers for History. THE BIBLE is a scripted, adaptations of the stories from the Bible.  On Sunday, we saw Noah, Abraham, and Moses.

With a great lead in like THE BIBLE, History's new series VIKINGS debuted to record numbers for a new series. It generated 6.2 million viewers on the premiere airing of the episode and nearly two million more caut the episode later in the evening, outside of primetime.

History has the start of something viewers are hungry for. Scripted adaptations of historical events. Starting with last year's HATFIELD & MCCOYS and continuing with THE BIBLE and VIKINGS, History may just be more than WWII documentaries and reality series.

THE WALKING DEAD may have been nocked down to #2 in total viewers, but it still dominated the A18-49 ratings. No other program on TV, cable or broadcast, matched the 5.7 rating it generated.
