Season To Date Ratings: The CW

It has been a few weeks since we last visited the network and looked at the current state of its programs. A few of them will be sweating it out when it comes time to make decisions on what is renewed.

It is a given that ARROW, SUPERNATURAL and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES are coming back for 2013-14. It is beyond those shows that it gets tricky. With numbers this consistently low, its is hard to separate and decide with just a few thousand viewer difference between them.

CULT and 90210 are toast. 90210 is official and with CULT moving to Fridays, it is all BUT official. I feel like THE CARRIE DIARIES should be in this group, but with the CW, you never know what exactly motivates a renewal. But, If you average less than 1 million viewers, even The CW can't save you.

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL may have it's fate already decided last year when it was moved to Friday nights. It may see one cycle in 2013-14, but you have to figure it is a goner with those ratings from the fall.

On the bubble will be NIKITA, HART OF DIXIE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST. The latter two are pulling similar numbers, with HART getting an edge in the A18-49 ratings. NIKITA may get another season for the sake of syndication. That plus the new direction to open The CW to a wider audience base. It may come down to theses three series fighting it out for the last spot on the schedule.
