Ratings: Broadcast Finals for March 7, 2013

THE BIG BANG THEORY is the nights top show with 17.6 million viewers and a strong 5.5 rating in Adults 18-49. It easily beat AMERICAN IDOL during the half hour, but it also helped lead out TWO AND A HALF MEN win its half hour (13.5 million viewers, 3.9 demo), also beating AMERICAN IDOL.  It is the first time MEN topped IDOL in the ratings.

Not all new was bad for FOX, GLEE actually perked up after a two week layoff. The veteran dramedy drew 6.7 million viewers and posted a 2.4 demo rating. That is up by more than 1.5 million viewers and a 41% increase from it's last episode. It is the series best numbers since December 6th.

NBC continued the burn off of COMMUNITY and 1600 PENN as neither show reached 3.5 million viewers.

ELEMENTARY won the battle of repeat dramas at 10 p.m., with 8.7 million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating.

FOX - 7.9 million viewers, 3.1 rating in Adults 18-49
ABC - 3.9 million viewers, 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49
NBC - 3.0 million viewers, 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49
CW - 0.9 million viewers, 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49
