Ratings: Broadcast Finals for March 18, 2013

DANCING WITH THE STARS had a pretty good premiere for the series 16th edition. It was down 10% from year to year, in both categories, but it is up more than 25% in the demo and 20% in viewers from last fall's season 15 premiere. DWTS was the most watched program of the night and the highest rated in the A18-49 demographic. This is good news for the series which was looking old and worn out and could have been downgraded to just one edition a year.

With a strong lead in, CASTLE was able to fight off HAWAII FIVE-O for the top spot at 10 p.m. The ABC series posted a 2.2 demo rating and drew 11.3 million viewers, a difference of 0.1 ratings point and about 2.25 million viewers.

THE BIGGEST LOSER finished the season on a winning note, posting its best Monday numbers of the season. Grabbing 7.4 million viewers and a 2.7 demo rating. TBL is easily one of the stronger series on NBC is will be renewed for another season.

DECEPTION, however was not able to capitalize on the improved lead in. The freshmen series ended its run with just 3.4 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating. This was, for all purposes, a series finale for DECEPTION.
