Complete Nielsen Ratings: Week of March 4, 2013
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #99:
CBS easily wins the week in viewership, but FOX sweeps the three specialty demographic ratings.
FOX on the strength of three editions of AMERICAN IDOL take the A18-34, A18-49 and the A25-54 demographic ratings. Even if AMERICAN IDOL is off year to year, it is a sure thing for FOX. It is always the top program of the network, outside of football in the fall.
Also performing well for FOX were THE FOLLOWING, BONES and a rebounded GLEE. All three series joined the AMERICAN IDOLS in the top 20 A18-49 chart. That covers the entire Monday through Thursday line up.
CBS placed 13 programs in the top 15, including the 5 most watched programs of the week. It also had the top two programs (BIG BANG THEORU and TWO AND A HALF MEN) in the A18-49 ratings, and a total of five of the top 10 on that chart.
What more can be said about NBC. It is only getting worse by the week. In fact, this was a record low for the network. It has never had a weekly ratings as bad as this week was. It only programed one series that could generate demo rating over a 2.0 (THE BIGGEST LOSER - 2.2).
ABC had another weak week, but as long as it stays above NBC, most people do not notice. It was consistently closer to NBC's numbers, in each category, that it was to the second place numbers. But unlike NBC (THE VOICE), it no longer has a rescue series to help dig it out of the ditch. DANCING WITH THE STARS will struggle this spring.
