Complete Nielsen Ratings: Week of Feb. 25, 2013
The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #101:
CBS wins viewership and older demos, while FOX tops in the younger demos, as the two networks split the as the top networks of the week.
CBS easily wins the total viewership of the week, with over 9 million viewers, on the strength of its regular series and the repatabilaty of those programs. NCIS and NCIS: LA take the top two spots with 20.7 million and 17 million viewers, respectively. THE BIG BANG THEORY (#7) made the top 10 despite being a repeat episode. In fact, CBS had five programs airing encores that made the top 30 list. It was the only network to do this, even if you include the top 50 programs. In total, CBS placed 19 programs in the top 30.
FOX's week was not too different from recent weeks, but unlike CBS, it did not air any encore episodes of any of its series. That allowed the network to edge out CBS in the A18-49 ratings. AMERICAN IDOL took two of the three top spots in the A18-49 demo ratings, including the Wednesday night edition, tied at #1. In all, FOX placed seven programs in the A18-49 top 30. Only CBS with 13, had more programs in the demo chart. Of note, the 3.9 rating from AMERICAN IDOL (#1) was nearly two full points below what the mega hit THE WALKING DEAD was able to produce on cable.
ABC didn't have a great week, but it was not horrible either, despite the 1.6 rating average in Adults 18-49. MODERN FAMILY was the networks top program in viewers (#9) and demo (#1). ONCE UPON A TIME is still a top 30 program even though it has had a sever drop in the ratings over the last few weeks.
NBC is still looking bad. Its most watched program, CHICAGO FIRE, was #34 and the top rated program in the A18-49 chart is THE BIGGEST LOSER (2.2) at #23. THE VOICE is still three ratings weeks away before its March 25 return. That and the return of REVOLUTION will mask all the other problems the network is having by competing with ABC for third place.
The five least viewed programs from the BIG 4 Networks (excluding Saturdays):
2.18 million - PARKS & REC
2.20 million - 1600 PENN
2.21 million - THE OFFICE (R)
2.62 million - THE NEW NORMAL
2.73 million - JIMMY KIMMEL: Oscars (R)
