Classic TV Raitings and Rankings: 1973-74
Some series fell hard from the previous season. ABC's MARCUS WELBY falls from #13 to out of the top 30. THE FLIP WILSON SHOW also dropped out of the top 30, from its previous ranking of #12. CBS' long running sitcom HERE'S LUCY drops from 15 to #29.
Between THE LUCY SHOW and HERE'S LUCY, Lucy had been on TV for 12 consecutive years, and 21 out of the last 23 years from I LOVE LUCY to HERE'S LUCY. It would be her last successful series. This was the end of a special era for TV.
Freshmen series doing well are HAPPY DAYS at #16, Crime drama KOJAK at #7. MAUDE spin-off GOOD TIMES lands at #17, and classic action series THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN breaks in at #11.
