Ratings: Broadcast Finals for January 9, 2013
ABC was led by MODERN FAMILY's 12 million viewers and 4.7 demo rating, the nights #1 program in both measured categories. All four sitcoms performed decently, however THE NEIGHBORS and SUBERGATORY may need to feel worried with their lack of retention from from their lead ins. NASHVILLE is still struggling at 10:00 p.m., attracting less then 6 million viewers
CBS gave us two specials on Wednesday, starting off with I GET THAT A LOT. The hidden camera program drew a respectable 7.5 million viewers and a 1.9 demo rating, coming in 2nd to the ABC comedies. THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS filled the remainder of the night, pulling in just under 10 million viewers. Both programs are a great filler between the holidays and the start of the Wednesday line up, keeping down the number of repeats that may come in the spring.
LAW AND ORDER and CHICAGO FIRE were both flat in the demo ratings, but the veteran law drama gained 600k in viewers, while CHICAGO FIRE 1/2 million viewers from last Wednesday.
FOX is still in Fall 2012 mode as STARS IN DANGER: HIGH DIVE too a nose dive in the ratings. The two hour special delivered numbers similar to what THE MOB DOCTOR delivers. I guess we wont get to see STARS IN DANGER: GATOR HUNTING anytime soon.
