Top 40 Weekly Cable Ratings: Week of 11/12/12

Now that election season is over, the cable ratings are back to normal. ESPN's MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is the most watched and top ranked program of the week with an 8.2 household rating. The NFL football rules the fall and last week was no different.

THE WALKING DEAD dominates the scripted programing, coming in second over all with a 4.9 rating. That also translates to 9.2 million viewers and a 4.9 A18-49 rating. THE WALKING DEAD also beat all programs on Sunday night broadcast TV, except SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and 60 minutes, in total viewers.

The NASCAR season finale fell flat, ranking just 25th for the week. Come October, most viewers are done with racing and focused on football. NASCAR needs to compact their season and end about 6 weeks earlier.
