Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 30, 2012

The effects from the devastating Hurricane Sandy were felt by ABC on Tuesday. DANCING WITH THE STARS posted it worst numbers ever with under 12 million viewers and a less than average 1.8 rating in Adults 18-49. Both comedies posted all-time lows, with DON'T TRUST THE B (1.2) losing to THE MINDY PROJECT (1.5) in the demo ratings. Even its coverage of Hurricane Sandy on a special 20/20, the numbers were bad at just 4.8 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating.

CW also had bad news as its new series EMILY OWENS, M.D., just missed falling under 1 million viewers. If/when it does, it would join NIKITA as the only sub one million viewer series on the networks.

CBS did well considering the situation on the east coast. All three series held up well to near season averages, and even VEGAS saw a small bump up in the demo numbers.

NBC made out the best as THE VOICE carried the night with 12 million viewers and a 4.6 rating in A18-49. Those strong numbers lead into NBC NEWS coverage of the hurricane. Despite losing 1/3 of the audience. The news program won the hour in A18-49 ratings with a strong 2.9.
