TV Ad Rate History: 60 MINUTES
For over 40 years, 60 MINUTES has been a staple on CBS. Solid investigative journalism that is second to none. Its not sensational or flashy. It is hard hitting news and to this day, performs better than any other news program on network TV.
Over the last six seasons, 60 MINUTES has collected fairly strong ad rates, yet those rates have remained mostly flat in those six years. A bump or two, up and down, but 60 MINUTES is charging the same rates to day as they were in 2006.
Some may say that is bad, but in this every changing industry where technology is upsetting viewing habits, FLAT is the new UP.
