Ratings Review: Mondays, First Three Weeks
We will look at each night and how the BIG 4 networks are doing in the 2012-13 season. We start with Monday nights.
It is easy to see that THE MOB DOCTOR is the worst series of the night. It started under 4 million viewers and has lost over 30% in the important A18-49 demo ratings.
REVOLUTION has started with a much bigger audience, but it has had the biggest drop in viewers, over the three weeks, with 13%. And since REVOLUTION premiered a week earlier, the season to date loss is over 31%.
All the networks are losing steam, but THE VOICE does seam to be having a bit of an up tic this week as they enter the second phase of the competition. The Monday night edition posted season highs in the A18-49 demo ratings on October 8th and the most viewers since the season officially started on the 24th of September.
For CBS, The night as a whole is not only off from last season, but the season is not getting better as the weeks progress. All four comedies are roughly down near 10% in both viewers and demo ratings. PARTNERS is posting the biggest drop, 21% in the A18-49 ratings. Only HAWAII FIVE-0 is seeing gains since the season premiere.
ABC is taking a big hit with THE VOICE going head to head against its once heavy hitter DANCING WITH THE STARS. The Dance competition is down 12% in the demo. over the three weeks. However, CASTLE is holding its own, albeit low to begin with. The viewer numbers are solid at 10.5 million, but the demo ratings are up and down, but averaging around 2.0.

Primetimes what I watch all the time and there are great shows I enjoy like The Voice and Bones. I’ve loved watching The Voice since last season and it’s one of my favorite shows on primetime. I work at night so I never get to see what’s going on with primetime which always left a mess of shows recording. I would tie up all my DVRs trying to record my shows, and the family would be stuck watching recordings. This all came to an end when my coworker at DISH told me about the Hopper’s PrimeTime Anytime feature. I can get the four major networks recorded on one TV and it lets the family continue to watch their own shows without interruption. No more timer or recording conflicts which let me and the family enjoy TV.
