Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 4, 2012

3.46 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49. That is the drawing power of the season premiere of 30 ROCK on NBC. How/why this series was able to stay on TV for so long? Yea, I know. Its NBC. But, there has to be SOME pride left in the peacock.

It didn't get much better for NBC after that. UP ALL NIGHT came close to going under 3 million viewers. It lost 10% of the pathetic 30 ROCK lead in. We know 30 ROCK will be gone after this season, but I believe we not see UP ALL NIGHT after this season either.

On the bright side, THE BIG BANG THEORY was the most watched show of the night with over 15 million viewers and a 4.9 demo rating. That is mostly even from the season premiere, week before. In fact most of the CBS Thursday line up was steady, with exception of the ELEMENTARY. The freshman drama lost 17% in total viewers and 20% in the demo ratings. A bit of concern given the rest of the night held steady.
