Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 24, 2012

FOX took the night with game one of the World Series, featuring the San Francisco Giants and the Detroit Tigers. For the night, the game averaged 12.24 million viewers (#2) and a 3.6 rating (#2) on Adults 18-39. Year to year, Game One was down 1.9 million viewers and 14% in the demo ratings.

As a lame duck series, ANIMAL PRACTICE was not in 5th place for its time slot. The dead comedy edged out ARROW be the narrowest of margins.This is the first time, since ARROW premiered, that ANIMAL PRACTICE was not a 5th place program.

The battle of the 10:00 p.m. dramas is starting to settle. CSI is still the king of the time slot. NASHVILLE appears to found its place with 6.5 million viewers and a 2.0 A18-49 rating. CHICAGO FIRE is still bouncing around with its ratings numbers. After a loss of 12% in viewers and 20% in the demo, from week #1 to week #2, CF bounced up 8% and 20%, respectively.
