Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 12, 2012

CBS proved that you can have addition by subtraction. With MADE IN JERSEY gone from the line up and CSI: NY back at 9:00 p.m., Both CSI: NY and BLUE BLOODS rose 17% in the demo ratings and both rose close to a million viewers each, from just a week ago. CSI: NY posted season high numbers with the move.

I was looking at the MADE IN JERSEY facebook page earlier today and, as expected, the fans were upset with CBS for cancelling the show. But the numbers don't lie. MIJ was #81 out of 91 rated programs last week, in Adults 18-49. And now with it absent from the CBS line up, the numbers for the remaining two series rose in the ratings.

ARROW continues to flex its muscle around the CW lineup. An encore of the premiere episode posted 2 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the demo. Easily better than what AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL has generated since the official start of the TV season.
