Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 1, 2012
NBC continues to dominate Monday nights with its combination of THE VOICE and REVOLUTION. Week #3 of REVOLUTION is down 10% in viewers from last week and a total of 29% since the premiere. In the 18-49 demographic, REVOLUTION is up from last week by 0.1 ratings point, but down 22% from the premiere. Not a bad start, but not great either. The positive is a little growth in A18-49 from last week.
ABC may now be panicking about what is happening with DANCING WITH THE STARS. The once dominate force on Monday nights is down 4 million viewers and 36% in the demo from last year's second Monday episode. If this trend continues, We may see DWTS generate a sub 2.0 demo rating next week. Will ABC let THE VOICE destroy a valuable franchise or move the series to nights away from THE VOICE?
Over on FOX things are not much better. THE MOB DOCTOR posted a very Saturday-like 1.0 demo rating and is about to get whacked... or banished to Fridays. I am not exactly sure which is worse. If FOX does air an episode on October 8th, I will be beyond surprised.The good thing for FOX is that BONES remained stable from its premiere. Sure, the ratings could be higher to start with, but given the competetive nature of the night, being in third is not that bad.
CBS didn't have bad news. All the shows were roughly with in 10% of last week's premieres, if not up slightly. The biggest gainer for CBS was HAWAII FIVE-0 It was up over 10% in A18-49 ratings. The biggest drop was PARTNERS. Down nearly 16% in the demo, to an unexceptionable 2.1 rating. It also lost 800,000 viewers from the premiere. look for THE BIG BANG THEORY encores coming soon to the 8:30 slot.

There are always great shows on primetime and it can be hard to choose what shows to watch. This has been my problem for years and multiple DVRs in my home. I was able to solve this problem with the Hopper DVR after my coworker at DISH suggested it. I can get all of my shows recorded with PrimeTime Anytime once enabled. They will automatically store for eight days giving me the chance to watch them. Since I’ve been using the Hopper, I can enjoy more TV than before.
