With the second presidential debate airing on Tuesday, October 16th, we have some changes on our #1s chart. PERSON OF INTEREST take the top drama spot with NCIS not airing during the week. The sophomore action drama raked in 13.9 million viewers on Thursday night.
The top new drama for the week of the 15th is REVOLUTION. Despite ranking 30th overall, the 8.6 million viewers it collected were the best of the bunch, since VEGAS was off duty.
Just to show you how bad this year's freshmen crop of comedies are, THE NEIGHBORS top the top new comedy spot. Ranking 42nd over all, it posted just 6.5 million viewers. of this class of first year comedies, I doubt any will get a second season, other than GO ON.
FOX had a really bad week with the airing of the 2012 NLCS. Four games were broadcast in prime time and Game #6 was the top show for FOX, with just 7.6 million viewers. That viewer total was ranked 35th on the charts. FOX ranked 4th in both major categories, total viewers and A18-49.
NBC once again took the top spot in the A18-49 ratings with a 2.6 rating, but CBS was right on their heels with a 2.5 rating. However, NBC ranked 3rd in total viewers, allowing ABC wedge between them and CBS. What hurt NBC was the poor match up game of SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. Steelers vs. Bengals just does not have the drawing power.
