Ratings Review: DUETS

If you are following these posts in real time, I just posted the Ratings Review for THE X-FACTOR. As that show was not the next AMERICAN IDOL, DUETS is nothing close to THE X-FACTOR or even THE VOICE. It was noting more than a cheap knockoff that viewers quickly realized and abandoned quickly.

DUETS did get a decent sampling from viewers, but the third episode, it had already lost 20% in viewers and 30% in the adult 18-49 demo ratings. The ratings only dropped further with the brief move to Wednesdays.

Wednesdays and the return back to Thursdays saw the average fall to  4.5 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49. This series was the leader in what has become a very bad summer for ABC. each new series that followed DUETS did just as bad, if not worse, as this talent show clone did.
