Ratings: Broadcast Finals for August 28, 2012

masterchefMixed leadership in the Tuesday final broadcast ratings as AMERICA'S GOT TALENT attracted the most viewers (9.9 million, but it was the surging MASTERCHEF that captured the top spot in the Adult 18-49 demographic ratings (2.8). Also, FOX won the night, edging NBC by one tenth of a ratings point in the 18-49 ratings.

NBC did win the head-to-head battle for viewers during the 10:00pm coverage of the Republican Convention. With the better lead in of the three networks, NBC grabbed 4.8 million viewers. Over 1.5 million more than 2nd place CBS.

ABC had a horrible night with all four programs averaging less than 3 million viewers, with the 9pm hour falling below 2 million viewers. Hopefully the "Mid-season" comedies are ready for a quick launch for November premieres.
