Ratings: Broadcast Finals for July 5, 2012

CBS takes the night with nothing but repeats. Impressive when you consider that the other four networks had a combined 8 hours of original programming.

THE BIG BANG THEORY double shot took the top two spots of the night 8.3 and 9.0 million viewers at 8:00pm and 8:30pm, respectively. The strong 8;30 slot helped propel PERSON OF INTEREST to strong summer numbers of 8.1 million viewers and a 1.6 demo rating. Even if it is encore programming, if it is quality content, people will watch it over and over.

The only other program to do decent numbers was WIPEOUT. The summer series pulled in 5.6 million viewers and a decent 1.8 demo rating. It is always nice to have WIPEOUT back on TV. I can't get enough of people falling, flying and splatting everywhere.
