Ratings Review: HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN

With this series I usually include a ratings graph chart to illustrate the up and/or down trends a series may have over the course of the season. But with HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN, I don't think that is really needed. It never stayed around in one spot long enough.

The two airings it had in the BEST time slot available, HTBAG let nearly 50% of the audience delivered by THE BIG BANG THEORY just slip away. This inability to attract an audience not only hurt its own ratings, but it was affecting the series that follow it, PERSON OF INTEREST. CBS mad the correct decission by stopping production and moving the remaining episodes to Saturday nights.

On Saturday night, HTBAG couldn't even match the low expectations for that night, so after just three airings and two time slots, it was bye-bye time for the sitcom and would not be seen until summer time.

As HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN finished its burn off run on Saturday nights this summer, some how 1.5 million people were regularly entertained by it... Why? I have no idea!

I guess it is only fair that the worst series of the past season was on the strongest network of the season.
