Complete Nielsen Ratings for Week of 01/30/2012
SUPER BOWL XLVI broke the records book. The NFL championship game drew over 111.3 million viewers and an amazing 40.5 in the 18-49 demographic. It is now the most watched TV show in USA history.
Leading out of the SUPER BOWL was the season premiere of THE VOICE and NBC was tremendously rewarded. 37.6 million viewers stayed up past the game to watch the singing competition show. This marked the best performance by a post-SUPER BOWL program in almost a decade.
Outside of Super Sunday, AMERICAN IDOL continues to take top honors, for weekly series, but THE BIG BANG THEORY is now nipping at its heels, on Thursday nights.
