TV Review: The Marriage Ref

After about 17 days of the Winter Olympics, NBC decided to premiere The Marriage Ref, Jerry Seinfeld's "return" to network TV, after the closing ceremonies. I think I would have rather hear another song ny Neil Young.

The Concept is simple. Couples have an ODD disagreement and a celebrity panel debates, makes jokes and declares a winner.

My analysis is Simple. This is not a good show. The Panel makes easy, cheap jokes, that are not funny. The person that give the "inside scoop" is dull and the host acts like Jack Benny. The couples and disputes are kind of funny, but not enough to want to watch the show.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best), I give this show a 4. It's only saving grace is that it is on NBC and NBC will run all the episodes, despite the ratings. The one mystery will be what show will have better ratings on Thursdays at 10pm. Leno or The Marriage Ref.
