Move it, and they will watch - That was the result of ESPN's presentation of the NFL Pro Bowl.
Traditionally, the Pro Bowl has always been played the week after the Super Bowl, but for one year only, the NFL Moved the All Star game to the week BEFORE the Super Bowl. The Move was a success. ESPN did 40% better than NBC's broadcast of the 2009 game, drawing 12.30 Million viewers and an impressive 4.2 demo rating. The highest rated PB game in a decade. These numbers were against the 52nd Grammy Awards, which had its best ratings in over 6 years.
NFL, Move the game PERMANENTLY to always be played the week before the Super Bowl. More fans will watch it in late January than in Mid February.
