  1. Please, oh please let it be Castle. Nathan Fillion alone is worth it (though I love the charm and chemistry of the supporting cast, too, especially the relationship between Castle and his daughter).

  2. Surviving Suburbia

  3. Really like Castle but Suburbia has the edge. If we're talking comedy and then a drama I say Suburbia and Castle. Cupid will probably get pulled before the end of sweeps and the Unusuals is losing too much Lost lead in (despite is incompatibility).

  4. I find it hard to believe ABC would select just one show to renew. It has nothing to fall back on except the veteran hits, like Grey's and Lost. They need to nurture some new shows. Plenty of big hits got poor initial ratings and needed time and gradual word of mouth to develop (Seinfeld, House).

I too think it could be one drama and one comedy. ABC's latest moves of pushing Cupid off the schedule to make room for Unusuals makes me think that they're done with Cupid, indifferent to Castle, and trying to make Unusuals a hit. As for the comedies, none of them seem too terribly impressive to me, including Suburbia, which I'd bet my bottom dollar is only doing well because it follows Dancing With the Stars.

  5. ABC has had a horrible mid-season. Only Surviving Suburbia is doing decent in the ratings, and like was said before, it is only getting those numbers by following Dancing with the Stars.

I think only one show of the list sees September 09. But, ABC is becoming the new NBC. ;-)
