Streaming TV: Subscription Numbers by Service

On November 13, one day after the launch of Disney+, Disney released the statement that the service has more than 10 million signups for the service. This does include any 7-day free trial signups. But, how does this compare with the other streaming services? Below is a list of the top players and their most recent, self-reported numbers.

NETFLIX: As of October 2019, the leader of streaming TV has 158 worldwide subscribers, 60.6 million which are U.S. subscribers.

Amazon Prime Video: Amazon does not report Prime Video users, but in January of this year, it was estimated there are 100 million to the overall Amazon Prime services, which includes Prime Video

HULU: Earlier this month, it was released that the now Disney controlled streaming service has 28.5 million subscribers, in the U.S. It's live TV subscription is at just under 2.7 million subs, tied with SLING TV for #1 in that service.

HBO: Last month it was reported that HBO has 34 million U.S. subscribers, with 8 million subscribing to HBO Now.

CBS All Access & Showtime: The CBS Corporation does not separate its streaming numbers, so as of February, 2019, the two services have a combined eight million subscribers.

ESPN+: Sister service to Disney+, and can be bundles with the newest services, currently has 3.5 million subscribers.

DANZ: The sports streaming services, specializing in boxing and MMA, has eight million global subscribers, as of May 2019.

Crunchyroll: The Anime streaming services currently has two million subs.
