ABC’s ‘Stumptown’ Is the 3rd Consecutive New ABC Series to Grow Over Its Lead-in During Premiere Week.

“Stumptown” (10:00-11:00 p.m. – 4.5 million and 0.7/4 in AD18-49):
The debut of ABC’s “Stumptown” grew over its “Single Parents” lead-in by 61% in Total Viewers (4.5 million vs. 2.8 million) and held 100% among Adults 18-49 (0.7/4), marking the 3rd consecutive new ABC series to improve over its lead-in during Premiere Week in either Total Viewers or Adults 18-49 (both ABC’s “mixed-ish” and “Emergence” grew over their respective lead-ins on Tuesday). “Stumptown” opened well above the fall 2018 average of “A Million Little Things” in the hour, boosting the Wednesday 10:00 p.m. slot by 25% in Total Viewers (4.5 million vs. 3.6 million). The new ABC drama outdrew CBS’ “Big Brother” finale by 10% to rank No. 2 in the hour in Total Viewers (4.1 million), behind NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” season premiere.
