Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 10/14/2018

The CW premiered its new Sunday shows, which led off with the relocated, SUPERGIRL. The 8 PM program attracted 1.5 million viewers and posted a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. That is down about 20%, in viewers, from last year's premiere, but the A18-49 demo remained flat. The new, rebooted CHARMED, held all of its lead in audience and grew in the younger, A18-34 demographic.

NBC was the top dog on the night, as Sunday Night Football drew 18.3 million viewers and posted a 6.0 rating in Adults 18-49. That is a big jump up from last week's preliminary ratings, which were 14.5 million viewers and a 4.5 demo rating.

With the late afternoon national game, CBS brought 14.4 million viewers and a 3.6 demographic rating into primetime. A late starting 60 MINUTES kept 11.4 million of those viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49. New drama, GOD FRIENDED ME, collected 8.0 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the key demographic. around 9:30 PM. NCIS: LA had 7.3 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, while the close, MADAM SECRETARY, drew 5.6 million viewers and a 0.6 demo.

The FOX comedies did top ABC, starting with THE SIMPSONS, at 8 PM, which collected 3.2 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49. BOB's BURGERS dropped a half million viewers and 10% in the demo, while FAMILY GUY, at 9 PM, dropped viewership down to 1.9 million and the demo down to a 0.8 rating. REL closed out the night, for FOX, retaining just 1.4 million viewers and a 0.5 demo.

ABC's only program to do decent ratings, is the long running, AFV. it drew the network's top numbers, with 5.87 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating. DANCING WITH THE STARS JUNIORS dropped 22% in the demo and 1.1 million viewers, at 8 PM. SHARK TANK, now at 9 PM, kept the demo at a 0.7 rating, but dropped total viewership to 3.7 million. New talk show, THE ALEC BALDWIN SHOW, was the lowest rated program of the night, INCLUDING The CW shows. It attracted just 2.2 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49.
