Preliminary Ratings: Sunday (10/07/2018)
NBC wins another Sunday night, averaging 14.5 million viewers and a 4.5 rating in Adults 18-49, as Sunday Night Football dominates the night in the ratings. FOX, also with primetime NFL coverage, takes second place, with 6.6 million viewers and a 2.2 demo. CBS tops ABC for third, averaging 7.6 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the A18-49 demographic, while ABC is a tenth of a point back, in the demo, and 3.2 million fewer viewers. The CW returns to the night, pulling in its usual fifth place numbers, 800k in viewers and a 0.2 demo rating.
Sunday Night Football attracted 17.3 million viewers and a 5.6 rating in Adults 18-49, That is just a little behind last week's final number, so expect a significant uptick in the number for final ratings.
FOX's overrun NFL game lead the night off with 16.8 million viewers and a 5.1 demo rating. THE OT kept 10.1 million of those viewers and a 3.3 demo, during the 7:30 PM half hour. The Comedies slowly eroded the ratings, starting with THE SIMPSONS, at 8 PM, with 4.6 million viewers and a 1.8 demo. BOB's BURGERS retained 3.1 million viewers and a 1.2 demo rating. FAMILY GUY, at 9 PM, dropped to 2.8 million viewers, but held on to its lead in's 1.2 demo rating. New sitcom REL, fell below two million viewers and just a 0.7 demo rating, at 9 :30 PM.
CBS kicked of the night with 60 MINUTES and its 8.2 million viewers and a 0.8 demographic rating. New drama, GOD FRIENDED ME, grew to 8.4 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating. A good sign of drawing an audience on its own. NCIS: LA drew 7.5 million viewers and a 0.8 rating in the A18-49 age group, while the season premiere of MADAM SECRETARY dropped viewership to 6.2 million viewers and a 0.6 demo.

Spin-off competition series, DANCING WITH THE STARS JUNIOR gree to five million viewers and retained the entire A18-49 demo lead in. At 10 PM, the SHARK TANK premiere retained 3.1 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating.
