Final Broadcast Ratings: January 4, 2018

Three of the five broadcast networks were back in original episodes, with FOX premiering the nights only new series, THE FOUR. The new singing competition series stalled at the gate, attracting just 3.8 million viewers and posting a 1.2 rating in Adults 18-49. It was enough to lift FOX to #2 on the night, and is a 20% increase over former Thursday occupants, GOTHAM and THE ORVILLE, in the A18-49 demographic. But, considering viewership will drop in week two, THE FOUR looks to be a dud.

CBS won the night, with tis regular line up sweeping the night and winning every hour of the night. All five shows are up from their last original episodes.

NBC edged out ABC for third on the night. SUPERSTORE, GREAT NEWS and CHICAGO FIRE are up from their Fall Finales, while THE GOOD PLACE and WILL AND GRACE dropped. For WILL & GRACE, it is the lowest rated episode of the season.

ABC was not in originals on the night, airing comedy encores in the 8 PM hour and a TRUTH & LIES: WACO news special from 9 to 11 PM.
