Preliminary Ratings: Wednesday 01/04/2016

Wednesday night was a night of mixed leadership in the ratings, with three of the big four networks claiming wins. ABC was tops in the A18-49 and A25-54 demographics, was its comedies won the first two hours of the night. CBS was the most watched networks, collecting an average of 6.6 million viewers and the only network to be above six million viewers, all three hours of primetime. FOX was number one in the younger, A18-34 demographic, posting a 1.1 rating and edging out ABC. NBC was competitive all three hours of the night.

The most watched program of the night was MODERN FAMILY, with 7.5 million viewers. It also was #1 in all three demographics, including a 3.0 in Adults 25-54.

CODE BLACK was the lowest rated program of the night, in the three demographic categories, edging out BLINDSPOT for the honors. The least watched BIG 4 program was the new FOX drama, STAR, with just 4.8 million viewers. The EMPIRE spin-off does decent numbers in the younger demographics.
